# Import Tasks to Project

With SmartTask's CSV import functionality one could move workflow out of excel / csv to SmartTask. On importing the CSV file, tasks would be created with data mapped to relevant task fields like start date, description, assignee and Custom Fields.

**Steps to Import a Project**

1. **Go to the Project** where you want to import data.
2. Click on the **three-dot menu** (top-right corner).
3. Select **“Import”** and choose the source:
   * **CSV file** – Upload tasks from a spreadsheet.
4. **Map the fields** (e.g., Taskname, Assignee, Due Date).
5. Click **“Import”** to complete the process.
